Grading System

Grading Scale: Continuous assessment measures a student's progress in a course or module. This continuous assessment and evaluation for the courses includes class examinations, attendance records, assignments, presentations, a midterm and a semester final examination. Each course is assigned a number of credits corresponding to its weight. The department of Mathematics & Computational Sciences has adopted the following grading scale for assessment and evaluation of learners:

80% and above A + (Plus) 4.00 Outstanding
75% to less than 80% A (Regular) 3.75 Excellent
70% to less than 75% A – (Minus) 3.50 Very Good
65% to less than 70% B + (Plus) 3.25 Good
60% to less than 65% B (Regular) 3.00 Satisfactory
55% to less than 60% B - (Minus) 2.75 Above Average
50% to less than 55% C + (Plus) 2.50 Average
45% to less than 50% C (Regular) 2.25 Below Average
40% to less than 45% D 2.00 Pass
Less than 40% F 0.00 Fail

*The minimum passing grade in the MBA program in each course is C.

 

Performance Evaluation Rubrics

Grades: Each course's final grade will be determined by performance in class attendance, class tests or quizzes, assignments, midterms, and final examinations, as shown below:
