The Department of Marketing recently hosted a vibrant and mouthwatering Food Festival as part of the academic assignment for the Microeconomics course. This unique event, held under the guidance of course instructor Ms. Sunjida Khan, Assistant Professor, blended economic theory with real-world application, allowing students to explore key microeconomic concepts such as demand, pricing, consumer behavior, and competition—all through the lens of food!

Organized entirely by the students, the festival featured a variety of food stalls offering both local and international cuisines. Each group applied microeconomic principles in designing their pricing strategies, marketing their dishes, and understanding the preferences of their "customers"—fellow students, faculty, and guests.

The event was further enriched by the gracious presence of Dr. Dewan Golam Yazdani Showrav, Head of the Department of Marketing, who joined Ms. Sunjida Khan in evaluating the student groups. Their insightful feedback not only helped the students understand their practical strengths but also offered valuable guidance for future academic and professional pursuits.

The festival concluded on a sweet note with a cake-cutting ceremony, marking the end of a delightful day filled with learning, collaboration, and fun. The air was filled with laughter and camaraderie as students and teachers shared joyful moments together.

This Food Festival was more than just a showcase of culinary skills—it was a celebration of creativity, teamwork, and the successful application of classroom knowledge to a real-world setting. Kudos to the students and faculty for making the event a resounding success!

It has been perceived from different evaluation that intellectual ability needs to be exercised in an effective way through scheduled practice and performance. Success comes not just from the knowledge and skills but also from behavior which can create distance between success and failure. And we can achieve expected behavior only by learning and unlearning ways of thinking that finally craft body language and ensure effective living in this beautiful world.
